Secretary Description
As outlined in article IV, section 3 of our Union’s constitution, the Secretary shall:
Maintain a public record of official agendas, minutes, and other GEO communications.
Chair the Communication Committee. NOTE: Currently, the Central Committee is not operating with a dedicated Communication Committee.
Serve as the third local affiliate delegate to governance bodies of MFPE, NEA, and AFT.
Perform such other duties as delegated by the president.
Other secretary responsibilities include removing sensitive information from public notes, helping prepare reports, and keeping online records organized.

The Secretary also serves as the third local affiliate delegate to governance bodies of our parent unions, and participates in Labor/Management and Bargaining meetings.”
