Central Committee Elections - Spring 2025

Nominations

We are accepting nominations for all central committee positions, especially secretary, treasurer, and recruitment officer. Any GEO Member may nominate themself for a position.

If you would like to nominate yourself, please fill out the short form below with the following information:

  • Name

  • Department and Degree Sought

  • Expected Graduation Date

  • Relevant past experience or qualifications

  • Why would you like to be a Central Committee Member?

  • What would you like to see happen with the Central Committee during your tenure?

Nominations close on Wednesday, April 23rd, 10 pm

Election will be held virtually April 28 - May 2

Central Committee members attend weekly meetings and do about an hour a week of outside work, as well as attending other GEO and union events when able. CC members receive a $500 stipend each semester to support their work.

Election Procedures

Annual elections are each Spring. Any member can nominate themself for any position, and all members are eligible to vote.

Special elections may be called to fill a vacancy in the Central Committee.

Elections are conducted virtually using a poll. Your name will be collected to verify membership only.
